Posted Job Title Clinical Research Coordinator A/B (Department of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care) Job Profile Title Clinical Research Coordinator A Job Description Summary This position will participate in all phases of clinical research, including protocol development, assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and filings, recruitment and enrollment of research participants, study visits, biospecimen collection and processing, data collection and transfer, and regulatory compliance in one or more studies within the Penn Department of Medicine, Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Division. This position will work closely with the Principal Investigator and study team, as well as assist or play a primary role in preparation of manuscripts and research related presentations. Responsible for study coordination for investigator-initiated studies, multi-center research studies, and other patient-oriented research projects. Job Description The Coordinator A will participate in and coordinate patient-oriented clinical and translational studies within the University of Pennsylvania Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine in the area of cystic fibrosis. The person will support a diverse group of investigators, involving work on investigator-initiated and non-profit sponsored studies of varying complexities. Involvement in trials will range from consulting to serving as the primary coordinator for a study handling all coordinator activities such as the following duties:
In addition to above, the Coordinator B will develop study specific source documents and trackers, prepare and submit regulatory packages, correspond with sponsor & regulatory review boards, and help with study start up activities. The CRC B will have less supervision in the management of clinical trials and will need to use more independent judgment. Qualifications Effective problem solving abilities; effective communication and writing skills; strong organizational and time management skills; flexible and able to multi-task; demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently; knowledge of IRB and human research protection regulations. CRC-A Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. CRC-B Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. ***This position is contingent on continued funding.*** Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $43,888.00 - $60,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
