![]() Adjunct - AY26 Radiologic Technology Instructor LOS ANGELES COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES LOS ANGELES CITY COLLEGE PART TIME - POOL ANNOUNCEMENT Adjunct FY 25- Radiologic Technology Instructor LOS ANGELES CITY COLLEGE Founded in 1929, Los Angeles City College (LACC) is the oldest of the nine colleges that make up the Los Angeles Community College District, the largest community college district in the world. The campus is in the heart of Los Angeles, minutes from Hollywood and Downtown and conveniently adjacent to major freeway arteries and public transportation including the MTA and Metro. LACC is culturally rich with one of the most ethnically, ideologically and age diverse student bodies in the country. It is this diversity that drives LACC's long tradition of innovation and responsiveness to the changing needs of the times and its more than 17,000 students. Our programs range from serving the traditional transfer students to career training, adult career advancement, cultural integration and personal enrichment. Courses are offered during the day, evening, on weekends, via online and through other specialized tracks. DEPARTMENT The Radiologic Technology Degree Program at LACC prepares you to work as a Radiologic Technologist in the medical field. Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Examination (ARRT) and pursue a Radiologic Technology License in the state of California. The Radiologic Technology Program aligns with LACC's goal of preparing students for a career pathway in a thriving industry. POSITION The LACC Department of Radiologic Technology is seeking to fill a part-time adjunct non-tenure track position in the Radiologic Technology area. The position will begin in the Spring 2025 semester. This position involves theory, laboratory, and clinical teaching responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Professional experience must be directly related to the teaching assignment ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT COVID 19 VACCINATION SERIES and Health: Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with the LACCD Board of Trustees' policy. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination status prior to starting a position or, at the latest, by their position start date. A medical certificate indicating fitness to instruct or associate with students is required at the applicant's expense after selection from an eligible list and prior to employment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with its mission as a community college, instruction at LACC includes lower division courses. Faculty members at LACC are expected to facilitate student learning by designing varied and exciting learning environments. The regular weekly teaching load is 18 standard hours for Full-Time Faculty; and this is an Adjunct or Part-Time position with maximum teaching load per semester of .67 of the Full-Time load. Evening and/or weekend classes may be scheduled based on department needs. Duties for the position include regular weekly teaching loads, but are not limited according to the following:
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS COMPENSATION The salary schedule for adjunct instructors begins at $89.72 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.99 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential. Copies of all transcripts-undergraduate and graduate (Official transcripts are required for candidates invited to the final interview.) All degrees must be granted by an accredited college or university in the United States. Transcripts from foreign institutions must be submitted with an approved evaluation of equivalency from a foreign evaluation service approved by the California Commission on Teaching Credentialing. 6. Copies of current certifications by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and the California Department of Public Health (CRT).
