![]() Associate Professor in the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders - Clinician Educator Track Location: Philadelphia, PA Open Date: Jan 27, 2025 Deadline: Jan 27, 2027 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of etiology, treatment, or prevention of obesity and/or eating disorders. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree. Teaching responsibilities may include didactics for psychology interns, practicum students, or postdoctoral fellows, individual clinical supervision of trainees, and in vivo supervision of students in bariatric surgery behavioral assessments. Seminars for medical students and residents on eating disorders may also be required. Clinical responsibilities may include providing evidence-based therapy for obesity and disordered eating and bariatric surgery psychological evaluations. Psychosocial assessment batteries and weight management interventions for clinical research trials may also be included. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include securing grant funding for independent or collaborative research projects and publishing research-based manuscripts. Experience in developing and running clinical trials in the area of weight and eating disorders is desired, including a record of publication and extramural funding demonstrating the candidate's ability to support an independent or collaborative research program.
