![]() CFO Division: Finance & Administration Department/Office: Finance & Administration Advertisement: The CFO is St. Catherine's chief financial officer and they responsible for the leadership and oversight of key financial, operational and administrative functions. This position collaborates regularly with trustees, senior administrators, faculty, department directors, vendors and various external partners to inform and develop strategy, forecast and understand the financial impact of business and operational decisions, optimize performance, build sustainability and ensure legal and regulatory compliance. The CFO directs the timely and accurate gathering, analysis and reporting of financial and operational information for key constituents such as University trustees, our president, senior administrators, external funders, regulatory authorities, appropriate committees and the University community at-large. In addition to the financial management of the University, the CFO is responsible for the strategic management and oversight of Enterprise Risk Management, Capital Structure, Investment Management, Facilities and Grounds, Public Safety, Auxiliary Services, Student Accounts, Supply Chain, Real Estate and contract management. Directly supports three committees of the Board of Trustees; Strategic Planning & Priorities - Finance, Infrastructure, Resources and Investment - Audit. Minimum Qualifications: Must value diversity in all of its forms and organize people around their individual strengths and potential; ability to coach staff to pursue stretch goals and resolve challenges; ability to empower staff to make large as well as small decisions needed in a nimble, transformative environment; ability to celebrate individual and team successes Minimum of fifteen years of significant, successful and progressive experience in managing complex financial affairs, preferably in higher education A minimum of three years' experience working with Boards and external partners Successful experience with strategic budget development, debt and investment portfolio management, financial analysis, cost containment and a demonstrated understanding of facilities, capital construction, and the strategic value of information technology. Proven competency in external financial reporting and regulatory compliance, including, financial tax and ERISA filings. Competence within a broad spectrum of responsibilities spanning financial, and facilities management, and information technology A minimum of fifteen years successfully analyzing and determining the implications of financial data, communicating information effectively and making appropriate recommendations for action Preferred Qualifications: CPA and/or MBA preferred.
