![]() Veterinary Hospital Manager (ADMIN OFCR 4) Job Summary Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Hobbs Veterinary Specialty Hospital Business Officer is responsible for financial, budget, human resource administration and facilities management of the San Diego clinic. In collaboration with the COO, this position oversees all unit financial and budget activities, including personnel and operating budgets and supervises the financial processing, administrative and clerical functions at this location. This position will work closely with senior leadership, managers, supervisors and staff in their assigned units to ensure business and administrative needs are met. The San Diego veterinary clinic is a fast-paced business center, constantly evolving with a demanding clientele and veterinary patient case load. Applicants will be screened on a weekly basis. The position can be filled prior to the removal date. Department Overview The UC Veterinary Medical Center, San Diego's mission is to discover, apply, and disseminate new knowledge to promote animal health and welfare, and to advance the diagnosis, treatment, control and prevention of animal diseases. The UCVMC-SD is a regional clinic affiliated with the world-renowned University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The UCVMC-SD currently brings specialized services in the areas of Hemodialysis/Nephrology/Urology, Cardiology and Clinical Pharmacy with near-term planned growth in the areas of Cardiology, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Surgery (among others to be defined) as we move to a newly purchased building three times larger than our current location.
