![]() Contract & Grant Analyst 2 Job ID: Location: Main Campus - UCR Schedule: 8AM - 5PM Category: Management and Professional Salary: $69,134 - $101,038 Full/Part Time: Full-time(100%) Organization: College of Natural & Agricultural Sciences Department: Guille Vallejo Application Deadline: February 14, 2025 Position Information: Under general supervision of the Financial Operations Manager (FOM), provide pre-award and post-award administration and support to Faculty, Researchers, Staff, and students within the Department of Physics & Astronomy. Maintain fiscal integrity for all funds and accounts and ensure all funds are in an auditable/reportable condition. Assist with close budgetary activities. Develops and/or oversees research proposals, awards and/or transactions related to contract and grant management and maintains contract and grant records in compliance with institutional and research sponsor policies. Works on proposals of moderate scope such as single investigator and or Sub award proposals where analysis of financial information or reports requires the review of a variety of factors (e.g. budgets, salaries, expenses, etc.). Receives assignments on a project basis and fully analyzes problems, gathers data and information, and recommends solutions. May be eligible for delegated signature authority. Completes and approves transactions for signature by manager or other authorized institutional official. There is one position at various levels for the Contract and Grant Analyst recruitment. The hiring department can recruit and fill this role at different levels within the position classification series. The position is also posted as Grant Analyst 1 (ID: 35109583). However, the expected pay rate for this position is $33.11 - $33.77 hourly. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities DescriptionPercent Time Review award terms to coordinate prior approval requests with Research office. Attend campus User Group meetings to acquire new information and communicate new requirements to faculty. Coordinates pre-award financial administration ensuring compliance with funding agency and university policy. Maintain and update COA Management Database to assist department transactors with purchasing and travel transactions charged to contracts & grants. Review and certify the Oracle & Concur notifications for all transactions. Take immediate action on any discrepancies/errors, and follow through to ensure corrections are made before month-end closing. Provide PIs with recommendations to resolve funding problems to efficiently use resources based on analysis of PI's funding sources, expiration dates, and personnel commitments.
