Position Overview This position is a 9-month (academic year), non-tenure track, faculty position in Management for the KU School of Business. Primary responsibilities are instructional in the area of specialty within the School of Business. This position will also serve as an Area Industry Mentor (AIM) in Management (MGMT) beginning August 18, 2025. The AIM assists students who have reached junior standing in Management with the goal of structuring their experiences and academic pursuits for successful transition to professional employment. The AIM portion of this position serves as the pleasure their supervisor. This position reports directly to the Management Area Director, with strong secondary reporting ties to the Professionalism Program Director. The position is designated as an on-campus position and will be officed in Capitol Federal Hall. This is an internal only search open to current non-tenure track faculty with a .50-1.00 FTE appointment at the School of Business including Lecturers, Multi-term Lecturers, Professors of the Practice and Teaching Professors. The AIM may not have other concurrent administrative appointments. Candidates with existing administrative appointments may apply but their existing administrative duties will need to be re-assigned if they are selected to serve as AIM. The total FTE for the combined Lecturer/AIM position may not exceed 1.0 FTE. Candidates with instructional responsibilities in excess of .40 FTE will need to have those teaching responsibilities re-assigned if they are selected to serve in this role. Job Description (Distribution of effort below assumes the title of Lecturer. Distribution of duties will be modified slightly for Teaching Professors to account for scholarly engagement responsibilities) 50% Teaching and Teaching Related Service - Management Area 40% Teaching

50% Area Industry Mentor (AIM) Management - Serve as an Area Industry Mentor (AIM) in Management. Coordinate, execute and evaluate activities to support the KU School of Business' Professional Program goals as it relates to management. Independently utilize broad range of skills and tools to structure student experiences and academic pursuits for successful transition to professional employment including assessing professional readiness, coaching/mentoring, conducting industry outreach, building constituent relations, and tracking outcomes.
