REACH & Summer Program Director

The REACH Director oversees all aspects of programming and logistics that happen beyond dismissal each day and on selected days when school is closed.  This includes, but is not limited to, homework time, general supervision of students, Enrichment Classes, interacting and communication with parents, administrative tasks associated with enrollment for classes, billing, and handling all situations that come up on a daily basis. The Director is responsible and accountable for the REACH Staff, both internal as well as outside contractors who run enrichment programs on campus. This position is full time throughout the school year, including summer. The Director will act as the primary school representative beyond 4PM each day and will either run, or staff an employee to manage the front desk to initiate interactions with parents or visitors. Hours are approximately 10:00 – 6:00 PM and full days during school vacation days when REACH is in session. This position reports to the Education Program Director.

Duties and responsibilities assigned to the REACH Director portion

 include but are not limited to:

• Design and implement a program that is organized and creative
• Lead with flexibility and problem solve issues that arise in programming, management, and collaboration conflict resolution
• Oversee daily operations (i.e. daily check-in/dismissal, address parental concerns/questions, purchase snacks, etc.)
• Hire and manage staff of five to eight REACH Instructors 
• Program and staff Enrichment Clubs and post-dismissal homework time
• Create Enrichment Brochures each Academic Term and work with Advancement to have information updated on website and in our School Newsletter
• Maintain paperwork for attendance, Enrichment Clubs, and billing
• Create and maintain After-School Program budget (planning, payroll, track expenses, etc.)
• Assess and analyze programming each term/school year to ensure it is in line with the School’s Mission and the needs of the school community
• Demonstrate a commitment to and actively support the School, its Mission, and the Diversity Mission Statement

Duties and responsibilities assigned to Summer Program Director portion:

• Oversee daily operations (i.e. daily check-in/dismissal, address parental concerns/questions, buy snacks, etc.)
• Hire and manage staff
• Help create marketing material with Advancement to have information updated on website and in our School Newsletter
• Create curriculum for summer camp (ages 3 to 6 year olds) - Expanding opportunity in Summer offerings is encouraged
• Maintain paperwork for attendance and billing
• Create and maintain Summer Program budget (planning, payroll, track expenses, etc.)
• Demonstrate a commitment to and actively support the School, its Mission, and the Diversity Mission Statement
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School
