![]() ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY/PT Position Number: S-3526 Position Summary: This position, within the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), will specialize in supporting the processing of contracts and partner agreements (independent contracts and subawards), and is responsible for providing contract development and negotiation assistance. As a member of the OSP team, the incumbent will aid CMU faculty and staff with externally funded research and programmatic projects as needed. Duties performed are of a complex and varied nature, requiring a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Three years of qualifying experience or a combination of education and experience that equates to three years. Experience with Microsoft Word. Customer service experience. Organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to project a positive attitude. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results. Ability to compose, proofread, and edit correspondence. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree in relevant field. Experience working in an office setting, including experience with data entry. Experience working in research administration and managing grants and contracts for an institute of higher education. Experience in higher education and working with faculty and academic departments. Ability to successfully manage and use email, web navigation tools, word processing systems, database programs, and spreadsheet programs (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, etc.). Duties & Responsibilities: Performs multiple daily tasks related to document development and negotiation support for contracts and partner agreements (i.e. independent contracts and subawards). Provides direct support to CMU faculty and staff through the contract and partnership agreement process from development to execution and collaborates with departments university-wide to ensure efficient processing of contracts and partner agreements. Performs data entry and tracking of the agreement development and execution process, including any necessary follow-up. Engages in special projects and assignments as directed. Maintains the OSP Agreements email account. Meets regularly with the OSP staff to help strategize and collaborate on OSP related projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
