POSITION SUMMARY The ERIE21 Program Manager for ERIE21 Youth Initiatives is responsible for the development, implementation and direct management of middle school (Lock 1) & high school (Lock 2) services to Syracuse City school students, with potential to expand to other districts as funding permits, and supporting the growth and development of all other locks as needed. This individual will be responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders to recruit and retain a diverse cohort of middle and high school students from the City of Syracuse, engaging them in intentional programming focused on STEAM, innovation/technology, college and career preparation. This individual will ensure that the program meets necessary timelines/deadlines and complies with all contractual requirements set forth by the New York State Department of Labor and relevant contracts. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Youth Program Manager -
Supervise Youth Program Team, including the Youth Program Administrator & Program Specialist in the development and implementation of middle and high school academic year and summer programs -
Collaborate with Director of ERIE21 to set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the plans and vision for ERIE21 and Le Moyne College -
Collaborate with Grants and Operations Manager, ERIE21 Director & Finance department to ensure responsible budgetary planning and spending for youth programs -
Collaborate with Le Moyne College staff and relevant external partners wo recruit, enroll and retain rosters of students in compliance with various funding sources -
Collaborate with youth programming team to set deadlines and maintain a programmatic calendar of youth program events -
Function as a student advocate in all interactions with parents, family, school, and community constituencies -
Motivate students collectively and individually to achieve academic success through programmatic and service offerings including, but not limited to, academic support, advising, college prep, career development & personal development -
Collaborate with colleagues and students to create and foster an inclusive and supportive learning community for students -
Serve as primary youth program contact for academic and community partners -
Manage parent engagement for students interested in and enrolled in ERIE21 youth programs -
Maintain email lists of prospective students for youth programs, and move the prospective student through and to close of the recruitment process to completion as needed -
Maintain record of relevant memberships, associations, and list servs of external organizations that may have connections to our various ERIE21 programs and activities, particularly pertaining to youth program partnerships -
Provide ERIE21 participants with assistance accessing local, state & federal resources needed to support their learning and post-secondary endeavors Foster Relationships with Key Community Partners -
Serve as primary liaison linking ERIE21 with relevant stakeholders and funding partners with particular interest in youth programs -
Research and identify potential partners for fee-for-service programming. Prospects include, but are not limited to, CNY public and private school districts, local employers and community-based organizations -
Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters for fee-for-service programs in collaboration with Director & Senior Director of Community and Social Impact Programs -
Represent ERIE21 on at least one community board or advisory council, with the goal of developing a deeper relationship with that organization Marketing & Program Differentiation -
Collaborate with ERIE21 Leadership team to shape and communicate the vision and mission of ERIE21 to internal and external constituents -
Collaborate with Le Moyne College marketing team and external partners as needed to define and manage the ERIE21 brand communication strategy using a variety of media outlets Management & Operations -
Maintain accurate, organized and detailed records, providing summaries and reports as needed & maintaining open communication with Director of ERIE21 -
Plan and facilitate regular youth program staff meetings & hold regular one:one meetings with supervisees -
Represent ERIE21 at Divisional, Advisory, and Board of Trustees and other relevant meetings as requested by the Director -
Represent ERIE21 at Le Moyne College in the community as needed -
Perform ERIE21 duties as requested by ERIE21 Director or Senior Director of Community & Social Impact Programs Promote ERIE21 to various constituencies Job expectations for all Le Moyne College employees: -

Master’s Degree in Education, STEM discipline or a related field -
Minimum 2-3 years working with middle school and/or high school students -
Experience working with STEM students and/or professionals -
Familiarity with local community resources to support students in need -
