Location: Chicago, IL Job Description: Greets and directs visitors and students in the Student Services Suite. Coordinates room reservations, catering orders, and other logistics for office-sponsored programs and events, including Graduation and Student Affairs events.  Staffs and supervises student events as requested by the Dean of Students. Purchases office and event supplies, coordinates office mail, and processes parking passes. Manages student resources, including student lockers. Processes and tracks departmental and student organization expenses, invoices, checks, and reimbursements across multiple accounts, maintains budget spreadsheet, and researches budget issues. Submits GEMS reports for the Dean of Students. Supports the Dean of Students Office in communication efforts to students. Maintains the websites for the Office of the Dean of Students and monitors Law Connect, the student organization online system. Manages the Dean of Studentsâ™ calendar by scheduling meetings and appointments with students, staff, and faculty. Completes special projects, initiatives, and other duties as directed by the Dean of Students.â¯Â Monitors and manages the Dean of Students Office email inbox. Uses general understanding and experience to administer the delivery of services to program participants and/or beneficiaries. Analyzes program budgets and uses a moderate/high level of authority to recommend or makes budgetary recommendations. Performs other related work as needed. Preferred Qualifications Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to identify priorities and manage conflicting priorities. Experience learning and working with multiple databases and changing software. Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a resourceful, can-do approach. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. Deep commitment to customer service, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with diverse populations. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion. Ability to exercise good judgment under pressure and to maintain a sense of perspective under stressful circumstances.Â
This position is available for partially remote work based on the business needs of the Law School.  Varying weekend and/or extended weekday hours are required during exams, commencement, and other high volume departmental or school activities.Â
