Responsibilities: As the Chief Financial Officer at Gunnison Valley Health, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's financial future, ensuring long-term sustainability, and positioning the organization for growth. You will lead financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle management, and compliance while providing strategic insights to drive organizational success. Requirements: To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive financial leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare system. Experience in critical access hospital finance preferred. Experience in a Colorado healthcare system preferred. Expertise in financial forecasting, capital financing, and strategic financial planning. Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. Experience leading revenue cycle management and cost optimization initiatives. Demonstrated ability to advise executive leadership on financial strategies and industry trends. Experience leading teams across finance, patient financial services required and information technology and supply chain management preferred, while maintaining high employee engagement. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Office Suite required. Licenses/Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) preferred |
