Graduate Assistant for Creative Video/Photography

The Graduate Assistant for Creative Video/Photography will work within the NCAA Division I Department of Athletics to assist in creating and executing digital media content for all 15 Division 1 programs. This position reports to the Coordinator of Creative Media and will work closely with the department's communications, marketing, and social media teams. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for sports and storytelling, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. SEMO is the winner of the OVC Commissioner's Cup in two of the past four school years, and has won more conference championships than any other school in the OVC since 2019. Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Brady Barke was named NACDA Athletic Director of the Year in 2022. The University has a total enrollment of nearly 10,000 students in Cape Girardeau, MO, situated near the bank of the Mississippi River in a community of over 80,000 in Cape Girardeau County. Cape Girardeau is located on Interstate 55, approximately two hours south of St. Louis, and three hours north of Memphis.

Additional Salary Information: $1,100 monthly stipend (paid bi-weekly), plus the opportunity to earn additional hourly wage during summer and break periods as mutually agreed upon with supervisor. Graduate assistant will receive full tuition waiver for up to 9 credit hours per semester (Fall/Spring), plus opportunity to apply for additional tuition waiver for summer term.
