PROGRAM DIRECTOR II: SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH-EPIDEMIOLOGY

Directs operations of a programmatic function. Operates with a high degree of independence. Responsible for program development, content, and administration. Establishes program objectives, manages programmatic fiscal activities, supervises staff engaged in carrying out program activities, and may require grant writing and/or other ability to secure program funding. Prepares various reports for the program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support operational aspects of the National Coordinating Center (NCC), including maintaining and facilitating leadership of the O'Brien Kidney Consortium

• Develop, implement, and maintain a national Opportunity Pool program for the Consortium

• Support strategic aspects of the NCC in its role in the O'Brien Kidney Consortium

• Support financial and reporting aspects of the NCC for the O'Brien Kidney Consortium

• Support administrative aspects of the NCC for the O'Brien Kidney Consortium

• Attention to detail with Excel spreadsheets and other work documents and ability to work independently

• Perform other duties as assigned

Annual Salary: $60,835-$98,855

Bachelors degree in a related field and 5 years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in program management, research administration, or related roles in an academic or research environment
• Proven experience in developing and managing large-scale research initiatives or multi-institutional consortia

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in tools like Canva, Adobe Express, REDCap, Qualtrics and other data and resource management platforms

• Proficiency in regulatory compliance processes, including IRB and IACUC protocols Experience in designing and implementing evaluation strategies for research programs Familiarity with federal funding guidelines and budget management processes

• Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights

• Experience in program management, research administration, or related roles in an academic or research environment

• Proven experience in developing and managing large-scale research initiatives or multi-institutional consortia

• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while fostering collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders
