Posted Job Title Research Specialist B (Department of Neurosurgery) Job Profile Title Research Specialist B Job Description Summary Research Specialist B Job Description Research Specialist B to work in the area of neurotrauma research using large and small animal models in a laboratory focused on electrophysiology, behavior, and histopathology. Studies include neurosurgical procedures (brain) in both large animal and rodent models, electrophysiological acute and chronic recordings, training and behavioral assessment of animal behavior, and tissue processing/histology. Other tasks will include maintenance of logs and lab reports, surgery preparation, data analysis, retrieval of recent literature, ordering, training new Research Specialist A's and Student Workers, and general lab maintenance. Prior neuroscience, medical, or coding experience a plus, electrophys experience a plus, excellent organizational skills required. This position is contingent on funding. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Research Specialist B Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $43,888.00 - $62,013.61 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and the pay range assigned to the job profile.
