Job Summary Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Internships and Career Services for the Institute of Politics (IOP) is responsible for driving internship and career-related programming. This includes the administration of established programming such as career roundtables, and piloting new programming such as skill-based workshops. However, the incumbent will create new internship opportunities and build relationships with organizations to build new recruitment relationships. The Director works closely with other public service directors at Harvard College and Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) to ensure collaborative, comprehensive, substantive, and formative career-focused programming for Harvard College undergraduates interested in pursuing summer internships and post-graduation opportunities in politics and public service.The successful candidate will have prior professional experience working with students, preferably undergraduate student populations, and have a strong desire to encourage their professional pursuits and involvement in both public service and the political process. The position is required to work in-person on campus a minimum of three days per week during the academic year. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager. Salary Range: $87,700 - $150,900 Note: Starting salaries typically fall in the lower half of the salary range; however, they are ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.
