Internships and Career Services Director

Job Summary Reporting to the Executive Director, the Internships and Career Services Director for the Institute of Politics (IOP) is responsible for driving internship and career-related programming. This includes the administration of established programming such as career roundtables, and piloting new programming such as skill-based workshops. However, the incumbent will create new internship opportunities and build relationships with organizations to build new recruitment relationships. The Director works closely with other public service directors at Harvard College and Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) to ensure collaborative, comprehensive, substantive, and formative career-focused programming for Harvard College undergraduates interested in pursuing summer internships and post-graduation opportunities in politics and public service.

This is a hybrid position based on our campus in Cambridge, MA. As a campus-based institution, we place a high value on the in-person experience, cross-team collaboration, and strong community building in order to create a vibrant campus for our students, faculty, staff, and research fellows. The position is required to work in-person on campus a minimum of three days per week during the academic year. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.
