Utility Regulatory Auditor
Missouri Public Service Commission
The Auditing Department of the Financial and Business Analysis Division of the Missouri Public Service Commission seeks to fill Utility Regulatory Auditor positions in their St. Louis Unit to perform analysis related to issues that affect Missouri’s investor-owned utilities and their customers. The individual in this position will perform audits and examinations of investor-owned utility companies operating within the State of Missouri. Work includes presenting oral and written testimony in formal rate cases before the Commission. Up to 30% travel may be required. Work experience in this position qualifies for CPA certification.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or public administration or a closely related field (May graduates are welcome to apply) and 0-2 years of professional accounting experience. Must be familiar with generally accepted accounting principles and audit standards. Good communication, interpersonal skills, and writing skills are essential. Computer experience required with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access software applications preferred. |
Additional Salary Information: Starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The annual salary will be $61,976 plus benefits. Benefits include 13 paid holidays annually, 10 hours paid sick and vacation time each month, potential telecommuting options, flexible work schedules, physical fitness opportunities, and tuition reimbursement. The position also offers optional life, medical, dental and vision coverage, and the state employee pension plan.
