Maintenance Engineer I
Carleton College
This is a full time (1.0 FTE) union represented position. The Maintenance Engineer will diagnose, repair and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, temperature control, pumps, air compressors, food service equipment and associated components of these systems. The Maintenance Engineer will also assist other Maintenance Department personnel as directed. This individual will report to the Maintenance Manager. This position requires continuous education to further educate and support this position. Union Salary and Benefits: The full-scale wage for the Maintenance Engineer I position is $38.86 per hour. New employees will be hired with a one-year training period. At the start of the training period, wages are reduced by $2.00 per hour from the base classification rates. Employees will receive a $1.00 per hour increase after six months, and another $1.00 per hour increase after twelve months.
