The William J. Shaw Center for Children and Families is looking for a Program Manager to support its strategic vision and uphold its reputation as a leader in child and family research. This role is essential in advancing the Center's mission by overseeing research consultation, grant development, operational management, and community engagement. The Program Manager will collaborate closely with faculty, researchers, and external partners to drive high-quality research, secure funding, and maximize the Center's resources for meaningful impact.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Research Consultation & Support

Provide expertise on research design, methodology, data management, analysis, and dissemination.
Offer guidance on study design, statistical methodologies, and best practices for data collection.
Assist researchers with data interpretation, analysis, and the preparation of reports and publications.
Ensure research activities align with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

Operations & Budget Management

Identify funding opportunities and assist with grant writing, proposal development, and post-award project management.
Oversee the Center's financial operations, including budget monitoring, faculty research accounts, and grant expenditures.
Provide stewardship reporting and financial tracking for research initiatives.

Facilities & Resource Management

Manage the day-to-day operations of the Shaw Center, ensuring equitable use of shared lab space.
Develop policies and protocols for space allocation and usage.
Oversee maintenance and optimal utilization of research facilities and equipment.

Training & Collaboration

Develop and implement training programs on research methodologies, data management, and ethical research practices.
Foster cross-departmental collaboration by supporting faculty, staff, and students in utilizing Shaw Center resources.

Community Engagement & Communications

Lead community-focused initiatives and outreach efforts within and beyond the Center.
Oversee internal and external communications related to Center initiatives.
Promote the Center's research impact through presentations, workshops, and partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Masters degree or Bachelors degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Skills:

Advanced knowledge of social science research methodologies, data management, and statistical analysis.
Experience with behavioral interventions and psychological assessments.
Strong proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, MPLUS).
Proven success in grant writing and securing federal or foundation funding.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with researchers and stakeholders.
