Senior Director Budget and Finance

Position Summary:

• The Senior Director also serves as the shared services financial governance liaison to University Human Resources on budget, finance, accounting, and reporting.
• Additionally, the Senior Director evaluates and implements efficient process workflows and ensures appropriate internal controls are in place.
• Within IP&O, the Business Affairs liaison is responsible for Planning, Development and Design, Real Estate, Space Management, and Public Safety (Rutgers Police, Emergency Services, Emergency Management, Security Technologies, ID Cards, Rutgers Construction Code, REHS).
• The liaison also works with the Office of VP Business Services, which includes multiple operations such as Mail, Records, Bookstore Operations, Surplus, Material Services, Shipping & Receiving, Warehousing, and Fleet Operations (Units).
• The majority of these units oversee all campus operational activities concerning statewide responsibilities across Rutgers-New Brunswick, Rutgers-Newark, Rutgers-Camden, and RBHS (24/7), and require significant centralized financial staff to manage all business and administrative services.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, along with a minimum of 5 years of management experience with financial and supervisory responsibility in a large, complex organization.
