Job Description General Summary The Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation is seeking an engaged team member to join our multi-disciplinary team. Join a dynamic team consisting of nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as a Rehabilitation physician at our Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, located in Easton, MD. This CARF accredited unit focuses on improving patient functioning while managing medically complex needs to help patients attain their highest level of quality of life with the goal of returning to the community. Under limited supervision, this role is responsible for the assessment of patients including the development, evaluation and modification of the plan of care. Provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team member, according to established standards. Interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their area of expertise. Role functions as members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway and plan of care. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required. Current AHA BLS certification required. Must meet all unit specific certification requirements: (PALS, ACLS, NRP). More than 12 months nursing experience. Solid knowledge and clinical skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills are required. Meets licensing requirements to practice registered nursing in the State of Maryland.
