ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-RESEARCH CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

Job DescriptionASSISTANT DIRECTOR-RESEARCH CONFLICTS OF INTEREST Assists in directing the planning, operations, and support of the department. Assists the Director in ensuring institutional compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies and procedures, as required by federal regulations and institutional policies. Performs reviews of proposals/protocols and disclosures to determine if real, potential, or perceived conflicts exist. Assumes a leadership role in the development of policies and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility, in consultation with other departmental personnel and the director. Serves as appointed voting member of the Conflict-of-Interest Board. Supports members of the Conflict-of-Interest Review Board, including providing background on policies and procedures, conducting Board actions, managing retrospective reviews, assignment of reviews/annual compliance monitoring, and plans and prepares for Board meetings. Provides problem resolution assistance for staff and addresses and/or escalates human resource (HR) issues to the Director. Assists in preparing job descriptions and reclassifications. In the absence of the Director, attends meetings and oversees major/special projects, provides daily oversight of personnel and activities, and oversees all department functions. Duties & Responsibilities:
Annual Salary: $73,945 - $96,130 (salary negotiable based on experience) QualificationsBachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in a related field. Work experience may NOT substitute for education experience.
