Students graduate with the ability to provide ethical, skilled, socially just, and anti-racist couple and family therapy to a diverse array of clients. Within the MA degree, students are able to specialize in one of two cutting edge fields—art therapy or dance movement therapy—and/or to obtain certifications in coveted areas such as play therapy, sex therapy, gender affirming clinical practice, sexuality education, and addiction studies. Values of ethical practice, social responsibility, anti-racism, and cultural diversity are central parts of the CFT curricula, and students receive a balance of traditional and contemporary perspectives in the MFT field.
