HARTZ Search invites you to explore an exciting opportunity with our client, TMC Health, in Tucson, AZ, for the System Controller. This role reports to the SVP/Chief Financial Officer and directs and manages day-to-day accounting processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Capital Asset and Budget Tracking, and Federal and State tax reporting. The Controller oversees the timely and accurate reporting of financial information as well as the annual external audit. Our client is seeking an experienced Controller with system or multi-hospital, short-term acute care experience; candidates with previous experience with a Big 5 Accounting Firm is highly desirable; as well as demonstrated experience and success in a complex healthcare organization and competitive market.

In addition to these facilities, TMC Health has key Key collaborations include our alignment with Abacus Health, a Southern Arizona accountable care organization; membership in the Mayo Clinic Care Network; and partnership in the Southern Arizona Hospital Alliance. Additionally, TMC Health has a joint venture with El Rio Health in creating the innovative, integrated health centers HealthOn Broadway and HealthOn University. Southern Arizona's locally governed nonprofit health system, TMC Health, is the corporate entity that includes Tucson Medical Center; TMC Rincon, TMCOne primary and specialty care practices; Benson Hospital, Northern Cochise Community Hospital and their affiliates.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

• Reports to the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for TMC Health

REQUIREMENTS:

• Eight (8) years of accounting experience, Minimum of three years in leadership role is essential.

• The ideal individual will bring a wealth of experience in financial strategy and financial operations.
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. CPA highly preferred.  
• Client is seeking an engaging leader with a servant leader mentality, roll-up your sleeves, hands on and visible on the floor.
• Desire a leader with strong emotional intelligence and strong management skills.
• Must be willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ.
• EPIC & Axiom experience preferred.
