Available Title(s): 323I-YN_CS_NPS - Research Technologist 2 Business Title: Research Technologist 2 | Grigsby Laboratory Employee Type: Classified Position Details: The Opportunity: Located in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, this Research Technologist position contributes to the fulfillment of the university's mission and vision by providing support to the Grigsby laboratory in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Additional information about the Grigsby Laboratory can be found here: Kolter Grigsby | Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences | Washington State University In this role, you will conduct research on neural mechanisms of motivated behaviors (namely harmful alcohol intake and physical activity) using behavioral, circuit-driven, and molecular/cellular approaches. You will design and carry out experiments in pre-clinical animal models under the direction of the principal investigator. You will also provide general support to ensure the laboratory operates safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Other duties include maintaining laboratory equipment, ordering supplies, and managing animal colonies. This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,477.00 to $4,632.00 | Range 40 | Steps A-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. Step M is typically a longevity step. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
