Job Description Summary
Reporting to the UPENN Coordinating Center's Project Manager of the RadComp trial, a national multi-site randomized clinical trial (www.radcomp.org), the research coordinator will support the RadComp Call Center by conducting follow-up activities (phone calls, data collection, and data entry) and review and extract data from EHR source documentation from external facilities for approximately 1200 participants.

Position is contingent on continued funding.
This position is hybrid eligible after successful completion of intro period and 6 months of service.
Standard hours can be 9-5, 10-6 or 11-7 with some evening and weekend work required.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Conduct follow up phone calls to participants, including, but not limited to:

tracking participants through the time-points, documenting all attempts
scheduling and completing calls within protocol specified windows
respond to and resolve participant queries
collect and enter and/or update data in the appropriate systems
ensure timely and accurate data collection & entry

Review, extract and code data from EHR source documentation from external sites for approximately 1200 participants.

collect, record and track adverse events of interest from EHR
ensure all necessary documents are received
communicate with and inform EHR Coordinator and PM of any issues

Assist with updating and maintaining regulatory binder as required by the sponsor, regulatory bodies and funder, including, but not limited to:

reviewing and updating master tracker
requesting and collecting essential documents from participating sites
organize files as needed

Facilitate conference calls and team communications when necessary.

Participate in the auditing and monitoring process, as required

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work collaboratively on all levels and to gain support of others
Detail oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills required; able to work under pressure and exercise mature judgement, be resourceful and take initiative
Ability to exercise discretion in working with highly confidential and sensitive matter
Strong computer skills
Knowledge of medical terminology

PREFERRED:

Fluent in Spanish
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and relevant regulations for the conduct of clinical trials including Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) and Good Clinical (Research) Practice (GCP) Guidelines
Customer service experience
Experience with adverse event collection
