New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) is an independent surgical, medical oncology, and hematology practice based in Maine and New Hampshire. NECS, dedicated to the highest quality team-based care for every patient, is the region’s largest cancer-specific practice. NECS has seen immense growth over the several years, maturing from a $60 million “mom and pop” type practice in 2016 to a $300 million corporation-like practice with 300 employees today. A key driver of their growth and success has been their unique and strong partnership with Dana Farber Cancer Institute, one of the world’s leading cancer organizations. Upon arrival, the new CEO of NECS will be expected to assess the organization’s readiness for change, challenge past assumptions, adjust strategies and goals, and encourage new approaches and perspectives. They will bring a robust, data-driven approach to their analysis and an emphasis on collaboration, partnership and engagement across all members of the NECS team. They will maintain a comprehensive and long-range holistic view of NECS’s strategic plan, to continually take advance of new opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated history of successive accomplishments in the overall improvement of strategic, operational, quality, and financial performance of a high-performing, fast-growing healthcare organization. They will be a magnetic and visionary leader who has a proven ability of collaborating with diverse constituencies to create cultural and operational change necessary to ensure a growth oriented, high-quality, patient and family centered, value-based healthcare organization. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a dynamic leader to steer NECS’s operations team toward continued success, manage their esteemed partnership with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and drive their ambitious growth plans forward. The ideal candidate will be a change agent and a trusted partner, dedicated to continued growth and improvement. The CEO's strategic vision and leadership will be instrumental in guiding NECS through its next phase of growth. The new CEO will need to be a cultural fit, fostering collaboration and kindness across the organization. The CEO will play a crucial role in guiding the organization through its next phase of growth, ensuring that NECS remains strategically positioned for the future.
