Description We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader with proven administrative skills that will continue and expand on WWCC's tradition of excellence in teaching and workforce development. The Dean of Workforce Transfer & Trades will supervise our award-winning Center of Enology and Viticulture. With over 150 wineries in our service area, this Center supports the workforce training of this vibrant industry. The Workforce and Trades division also includes partnerships with leading manufacturers. Our John Deere Technology program is the only one of its kind west of the Rocky Mountains. This position will also lead the implementation of our new programs such as Audio Engineer, a cross-disciplinary Farm to Fork initiative, and a Cybersecurity program in partnership with the National Cybersecurity Training and Education Center. The Dean of Workforce and Trades will also manage and lead instructional areas that include the following programs within the Division of Instruction: Entrepreneurism and Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture Systems, Manufacturing Trades, Culinary, and Transportation Trades, including the Applied Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degrees. This position will also supervise several direct reports, including: an administrative assistant, program chairs, faculty(full-time and adjunct), and instructional support staff. The Dean of Workforce and Trades is a service-oriented leader who is skilled in relationship and partnership building, as the position supports instructional operations across multiple programs and sites, as well as establishes and fosters offsite opportunities. The Dean of Workforce collaborates effectively and efficiently with other instructional deans: Dean of Access & Opportunity, Dean of Nursing & Allied Health, Dean of Arts and Sciences, Dean of Corrections Education, and Dean of Clarkston Campus. Conditions/Terms of Employment This is a full-time administrative professional position. Persons hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of lawful authorization to work in the United States within three (3) days of employment. The college is a tobacco free institution. Work setting is primarily indoors with standard office equipment and no expected exposure to hazards. This position will typically work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work is common. Out of town travel required; regular visits to the College's other campuses required (Clarkston, and Correction Education sites - Coyote Ridge Corrections Center (Connell) and Washington State Penitentiary (Walla Walla). Some travel required to community partner sites (high schools, community organizations, etc.). Frequent interaction with students, faculty, staff, members of the community, and community partners Compensation: Annual salary range for initial placement based on the non-represented exempt salary schedule is NR15, Step A-F: $112,163 - $126,902, with scheduled salary increment increases every 12 months until you reach the top of the scale. The college has an excellent benefit program including paid sick leave; paid vacation leave; medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance; retirement and two optional deferred compensation programs. All full-time employees will automatically have 3% of taxable income deferred into the State of Washington Deferred Compensation Program (DCP). All administrative exempt staff set aside 1% of their gross salary in a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) (VEBA). All exempt employees are required to participate in this program.
