Endowment Analyst (HEOa) POSITION DETAILS The Endowment Analyst will report to the Endowment Accounting Manager. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Endowment Analyst will: ? Cash management strategy and analysis: analyzes and creates reports on target allocations and rebalancing of funds of the Short-Term Assets ? Investment analysis: analyzes and creates reports on actual versus target asset allocations and rebalancing of funds of the Long-Term Assets. ? Participates in endowment spending policy reviews to ensure funds are in compliance with Foundation policy and donor intentions and creates related reports. ? Coordinates the preparation of investment documentation for audit process. ? Prepares and enters investment return allocation calculations. ? Compiles and analyzes data to prepare and distribute financial reports and presentations on the pools. ? Develops and runs queries from internal and external systems to create reports. ? Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy. ? Maintains current information on department web site(s), manuals, and other materials. ? Calculates administrative fees. ? Reconcile old accounts. ? Participates in special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required. Preferred Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. ? MBA or other advanced degree in a business discipline preferred; Licensed CPA may replace 1 year of experience; ? Professional accounting or financial licensure/certification (CPA) preferred; ? Knowledge of GASB reporting requirements strongly preferred; ? Intermediate to advanced proficiency using MS Excel spreadsheet functions to perform complex data analyses (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, sorting) strongly preferred; ? Detail oriented and accurate with strong numerical analysis, evaluation and research skills; ? Strong writing, verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills; ? Work effectively individually and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders of various; organizational levels, and follow up and complete assignments.
