Working Title: Student Care Manager Appointment Type: Academic Staff-Fixed Term Renewable FTE: 100 Position Summary: The Dean of Students Office plays a key role in fostering a learning environment that upholds community standards essential for student success. The office promotes academic and social responsibility by instilling values such as integrity, accountability, inclusivity, and community. It also cultivates a culture of care by educating the university community on responding to concerning student behavior, including proper reporting and referrals. The Student Care Manager oversees the daily management of the office's programs, services, and operations, ensuring alignment with university policies and state and federal regulations such as UWS Chapters 14, 17, and 18; FERPA; the Clery Act; and Title IX. The role involves supervising student interns, responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating with the Dean of Students, Title IX Coordinator, and Director of the Disability Resource Center. This position is grounded in best practices from the Association of Student Conduct Administrators (ASCA) and the National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment (NABITA), with a commitment to creating a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
