This type of appointment is not approved to work more than 999 hours per year for all positions combined. Should incumbents work more than a total of 999 hours in a year the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service. The Colgate University Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for a part-time position working with the field hockey team. Accountabilities: Assist Colgate’s field hockey team at practices and competitions. Job duties include but are not limited to skill instruction. Responsible for execution of specific strategic activities and outcomes within assigned sport or area. These will include sustained performance and execution in the following areas:
Responsible for role modeling behaviors and leadership for student-athletes.
Professional Experience/Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in coaching or participation in field hockey.
Preferred Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree required.
Other Information A current valid driver’s license, in accordance with the University’s Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, is required. Work Schedule: This position is expected to run from August 1st, 2025 through April 30th, 2026. In-season Hours: August- November per week: 25hrs Out-of-season Hours: February- April per week: 18hrs Job Open Date: 03/20/2025 Job Close Date: 4/20/2025 Open Until Filled No Special Instructions Summary Colgate University is committed to the principle of institutional control in administering its athletics program in a manner consistent with the NCAA, ECAC, and Patriot League rules.
