Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.
Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Pharmacy is responsible for the Medication Management of patients by procuring, storing, and distributing medications throughout the hospital. The pharmacy is also involved with many patient safety and quality processes to optimize medication administration. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 4, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, provides extensive support to staff pharmacists and helps guide the daily pharmacy operation. This position assumes primary responsibility for advanced level tasks, functions or an area of specialty, to include telepharmacy, investigation programs, diversion/regulatory programs, medication history collection, and revenue cycle management. This position also authenticates the work performed by other technicians, vaccinators, and/or lead technicians.
