Paralegal/Lease Administrator (LG-6945)

Reports to:          Legal Director

The Paralegal is responsible for basic legal research, preparation and transmission of correspondence, support of all attorneys and executive team as needed, basic legal document preparation, securing and processing required documentation from tenants, legal department scheduling, and communicating with and supporting other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Review, negotiation, and preparation of commercial leases, renewals, SNDA’s, assignments, estoppel certificates and other legal instruments.
• Secure required tenant documentation such as evidence of insurance.
• Document activity and results in Yardi database.
• Maintain and encourage open lines of communication with other departments including Accounting, Lease Administration, Leasing, Asset Management, and Property Management.
• Special projects as needed, including for the Executive Team.

• Knowledge of relevant legal terminology.
• Knowledge of real estate terminology preferred.
• Ability to read and understand legal documents.
• Advanced MS Word skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Paralegal certification preferred.
• Commercial real estate experience preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a paralegal or legal administrator.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects from inception to completion.
• Strong results focus and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong computer skills. Experience in Yardi and SharePoint a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in DocuSign.
