Title: Marketing Coordinator Unit: Non-Unit Professional (NUP) Department: Communications & Creative Services Reports to: Director of Communications & Creative Services & Web Development Date: April 1, 2025 General Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing, this position plays a crucial role in the coordination of over 1,200 requests annually. As a member of the Communications & Creative Services team, this position will focus on content writing, vendor management, job planning, and campaign tracking. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with team designers and writers, as well as college clients on the creation of both internal and external communications. Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage the Communications & Creative Services request process from intake and resource allocation to production scheduling and archiving
- Develop persuasive marketing copy for print and digital advertising and marketing campaigns
- Manage the department email accounts by triaging messages and responding to project requests and community inquiries
- Create detailed campaign reports that include budgeting information, advertising placements, creative samples, and campaign results
- Manage departmental informational assets including creative briefs, image release forms, and image licenses
- Assist the design team with edits
- Other marketing support duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- At least one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in marketing communications or a related field.
- An Associate's or higher degree with a major in business administration, marketing or communications may be substituted for the one year of required experience.
- Demonstrated ability to write persuasive copy for print and digital communications
- Experience creating and managing complex spreadsheets
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently on complex projects
- Fluency using Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign and Illustrator
- Understanding of project management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications: - Fluency using a MAC operating system
- Experience using cloud-based collaboration software including Google Workspace and Canva
- Experience working as part of a larger communications team
- Outstanding attention to detail with a focus on quality
- Understanding of mailing and fulfillment preferred
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000; actual salary commensurate with academic background and experience.
