Job OverviewThe Charles Phelps Taft Research Center at the University of Cincinnati (UC) is pleased to announce a search for a 2025?27 Taft Postdoctoral Fellow. Scholars who have received their Ph.D. after June 2021 in any field of inquiry in the 15 humanities and social science Taft member units (Africana Studies; Anthropology; School of Communication, Media, and Film Studies; Economics; English; Asian, East European & German Studies; History; Journalism; Judaic Studies; Mathematical Sciences; Philosophy; School of Public and International Affairs; Romance and Arabic Languages & Literatures; Sociology; and Women?s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies) and related fields are invited to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship. The purpose of this Fellowship is to provide emergent, interdisciplinary scholars with time to further their work in an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary setting, and to provide them with mentoring from a faculty member in their field. As a UC employee, and an employee of an Ohio public institution, if hired you will not contribute to the federal Social Security system, other than contributions to Medicare. Instead, UC employees have the option to contribute to a state retirement plan (OPERS, STRS) or an alternative retirement plan (ARP).
