 Business Analyst Ohlone College Salary: $94,164.00 - $120,204.00 Annually Job Type: Full-Time Division: Administrative Services Opening Date: 04/01/2025 Location: Fremont Campus - Newark Center - and/or eCampus Job Number: 202300139 Department: Administrative Services Bargaining Unit: California School Employees Association (CSEA) Ideal Candidate Statement The successful Business Analyst works directly with IT Services and various College business units utilizing strong analytical, communication and research skills to develop solutions to obtain business objectives. Advanced knowledge of Ellucian Colleague and other third-party software will be used to develop and deliver solutions that are effective and efficient. The candidate will be familiar with College business practices and federal, state and local mandates that must be considered for implementations. The candidate will demonstrate a high level of organization and be able to respond to changing priorities. This position is remote optional, however, employees are expected to be on campus for pre-scheduled meetings and college-wide events unless the employee is on leave (sick, vacation, FMLA, etc.). Position Description Under the direction of the Administrator serves as an important link between the district's technological capabilities and its business objectives. Provide expert cross-functional technological solutions for the college business units' processes to maximize institutional efficiency and effectiveness. Ability to evaluate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Ellucian Colleague) baseline functionality and other third-party software solutions in relation to business units' processes to maximize effectiveness. Have a solid understanding of college business functions as it pertains to: Fiscal Services (Accounts Receivable, Payable, Payroll, Budget and General Ledger), Human Resources, Student Services, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs. Minimum Qualifications Any combination equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or other closely related degrees. Experience may substitute for a degree on a one-on-one equivalency; AND At least three (3) years of full-time experience in the area of business process analysis, technical documentation, testing, report generation, and/or user training; at least three (3) years of full experience in ERP systems required (ex. Colleague, Banner, Jenzebar, PeopleSoft) Experience with ERP's, Vendors and Colleges business practices and technologies; AND Must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices. Physical Characteristics This position requires physical abilities needed to work in a standard office setting, including but not limited to: standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods; occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and twisting; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling light and moderate amounts of weight; operating office equipment which may require repeated fine motor skills (e.g.: keyboard use); and the ability to communicate in written and verbal forms. The position requires vision and hearing in normal ranges (with or without correction) sufficient to operate any assigned equipment and the ability to clearly communicate with others in written and verbal forms.
