Barnes Jewish West County Hospital is a new state of the art facility that opened for patient care in November 2019. We are looking for Registered Nurses that can become part of a learning and growing team.
Position Highlights
The OR nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care in a surgical setting ensuring a safe and sterile environment, collaborating with the surgical team to deliver high quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.
The Perioperative Services staff at Barnes Jewish West County Hospital provide excellent Surgical Care by partnering with an extraordinary team of physicians and health care professionals. They are able to offer the comforts of a small community hospital. combined with the resources of the world-renowned BJC HeathCare System and Washington University Medical School. Our highly educated and dedicated staff continually strive to improve the health of the people and communities they serve. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
