![]() Environmental Compliance & Occupational Safety (ECOS) Manager - Oakland About the Opportunity This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. JOB SUMMARY The Environmental Compliance & Occupational Safety Manager-Oakland is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the university's environmental compliance and occupational safety programs. Reporting to the Director of Environmental Compliance and Occupational Safety, this position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. The manager will collaborate with campus stakeholders, guide regulatory interactions, and lead initiatives to address environmental and occupational risks across university facilities and operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge and skills required for this position are normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational safety, engineering, or a related field and five years of relevant experience in environmental compliance or occupational safety.
