Senior Research Project Manager

Summary of Position: The Senior Research Project Manager (SRPM) will support a portfolio of complex health services research studies spanning multiple Minnesota health systems. They will be responsible for the management of assigned research projects and will interface and coordinate work with IT, clinical, and academic stakeholders. The SRPM will work closely with faculty and health system leaders from project intake and scoping through project execution and completion by establishing work plans and timelines, managing resources, assessing risk, building contingency plans, and resolving issues. The SRPM will also work closely with the Senior Manager, Project Management to implement PM standards across the Center for Learning Health System Sciences (CLHSS) research project management team. The ideal candidate will have experience scoping and designing research project plans, be proactive, able to anticipate needs, and thrive with limited guidance from their supervisor. The successful candidate will have strong technical, organization, project management, and communication (written and oral) skills to guide multidisciplinary project teams and ensure deliverables are timely and meet requirements. The SRPM will serve as a mentor for other CLHSS research project managers. This position also requires a high tolerance for ambiguity and a willingness to research and develop integrative solutions across technologies, processes, and resources to varied, nondescript problems. Work Arrangements: This position follows UMN Work. With Flexibility. guidelines. Currently, the position will be primarily working from home. There may be occasional needs to be on campus and over time there may be a need to set a regular schedule for a few days on campus each week. Work hours should follow a consistent, contiguous 8-hour schedule between 7-5, M-F.
