Student Life Director- Office of Student Conduct, Division of Student Affairs POSITION DETAILS The Student Life Director will report to the Associate Dean for Student Support Services. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Student Life Director will be responsible for the following duties: ? Directs overall operations of the student conduct process for Hunter College, including investigating potential violations of the Henderson Rules (Code of Conduct), tracking student conduct reports, and coordinating the student conduct process and appeals. ? Manages and facilitates the academic integrity process for Hunter College. Serves as an intermediary between faculty and students in academic integrity cases. ? Trains and educates the Hunter College community on the Student Conduct and Academic Integrity processes, current legal parameters (FERPA and Clery), fundamental fairness and due process. ? Oversees the Faculty Student Disciplinary Committee to ensure compliance with fair and due process. ? Organizes and generates reports for assessment measures for the Division of Student Affairs and the college. ? Implements a comprehensive assessment plan to measure student learning. ? Collaborates with various departments and City University of New York to facilitate effective communication and ensures fulfillment of the student code procedures. ? Research current legal issues, academic integrity, trends in higher education and student conduct. Implements best practice. ? Serves as the Student Affairs representative on the Title IX Committee. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and eight years related experience required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ? Advanced degree preferred in Higher Education, Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, Law or related field. ? Demonstrated dedication to the principles and values of fair and due process and have an understanding of FERPA, Clery and other laws pertaining to student judicial affairs. ? Demonstrated experience and comfort working in a dynamic, urban, fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. ? Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to exercise superior judgment and discretion ? Proven ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Directs planning, program development, and administration to support access, retention, multicultural, and other student affairs objectives.
