Posted Job Title Clinical Research Coordinator Job Profile Title Clinical Research Coordinator A Job Description Summary The Penn Medicine Center for Genetics of Complex Disease seeks to elucidate the genetics of diseases that disproportionately affect understudied populations. The Center is led by Director Joan O'Brien, MD, Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania and is funded in part by the Primary Open-Angle African American Glaucoma Genetics (POAAGG) Study. This multi-year study, funded by two R01 grants from the National Eye Institute totaling $17.8M, seeks to understand the genetic architecture of glaucoma. This disease is the leading cause of irreversible blindness in the world today and over affects African ancestry individuals. Our team has enrolled more than 10,250 African ancestry individuals from Philadelphia since 2010. We are now analyzing genetic data and beginning to re-contact families to screen for risk variants and high polygenic risk scores. We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator for the POAAGG study. The Clinical Research Coordinator will lead all patient-facing and organizational aspects of the study, serving as primary point of contact for previously enrolled subjects and newly recruited subjects. Job duties will include re-contacting subjects and families, future enrollment activities, outreach events, and more. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all IRB, sponsor, and institutional regulations and guidelines. There will be opportunities for collaboration on research projects and publications with glaucoma specialists, biostatisticians, and translational scientists, as well as experience with grant and manuscript writing. This position will function as part of a multidisciplinary team and will report to the Research Project Manager C. Position is contignent upon funding. Job Description Job Responsibilities

Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $46,500.00 - $46,500.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
