Come join the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), an organization dedicated to the non-technical concerns of licensed professional engineers.  NSPE is seeking a Vice President of Marketing & Communications to oversee the development and management of the organization’s marketing, public relations, and communication strategy.  NSPE offers a hybrid work environment requiring occasional on-site workdays and a comprehensive benefits package, including generous PTO.  Candidates in the DC Metro area are strongly preferred but individuals outside of the area will be consider

As the VP of Marketing & Communications, you will support the long-term strategic direction of the organization through the development and management of NSPE’s marketing, public relations, and communication strategy.  You will be responsible for the integration of effective marketing and communication strategies, both internally and externally, across all functional areas of NSPE and will provide leadership, strategic vision, and direction to a team of marketing and communication professionals.  This position serves as a key senior business leader on organization-wide strategic priorities.  This position reports to the Executive Director & CEO.

Qualified candidates offer:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
• 8 years of senior-level communications and marketing experience, including publications, public relations, and web development
• 5 years of experience managing comprehensive strategic marketing and communications, media relations, and marketing programs to advance an organization's mission and goals; or equivalent combination of advanced degree and management experience
• Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing and communications activities, including digital marketing campaign development
• Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials, including magazines and other publications, managing websites, and creating/managing social media and other digital content
• Experience building, mentoring, and coaching a team of marketing and communications specialists
• Association experience preferred

Salary: $133,280 - $161,73
