STEVE HACKMAN PRODUCTIONS: CONSUMER MARKETING MANAGER
FLSA: This position is full time, exempt, working 40+ hours per week; 70% homebase work and 30% travel for productions/concerts. This position works closely with Steve Hackman, SHP Executive Producer, wider management team, external social media, and creative/branding teams. Salary range is between $100,000-$120,000 yearly, depending on experience. The Consumer Marketing Manager reports directly to SHP Executive Producer, and is accountable to Steve Hackman
ABOUT STEVE HACKMAN PRODUCTIONS (SHP): Steve Hackman is a multi-talented composer, conductor, and producer who is pioneering a new genre of music by elegantly and virtuosically combining classical with popular, ranging from rock and pop to EDM and hip-hop. His orchestral fusion productions known as SYMPHONYFUSE (such as Brahms X Radiohead, Tchaikovsky X Drake and Beethoven X Beyoncé) have garnered widespread acclaim in the classical music world, captivating audiences, consistently achieving high attendance rates and introducing new listeners to orchestral music. His underground original music productions, known as THE BRINK, are gaining momentum as a must-see phenomenon in Los Angeles, attracting influential figures from the entertainment industry and generating anticipation for a global impact. Finally, his collaborative work with artists ranging from Charlie Puth to Doja Cat to Steve Lacy, whether in the studio, in the live space or at marquee events like the Emmy and Academy Awards, is adding to the narrative of SH as an exciting and compelling new voice in the musical landscape. Steve’s first feature film score will be heard later this year in a Netflix release.
POSITION SUMMARY: This new position within SHP is responsible for building and growing the relationship between Steve Hackman and his current and future audiences, whether those be online or in-person, and whether driven via his recorded music, live performances, or through social media. Today’s audiences have multiple touch points with artists; the Consumer Marketing Manager sits at the center of strategy, ideation and implementation for campaigns, messaging and relationship-building across all those multiple touch points. Key focus areas of this position are: digital marketing; audience retention and acquisition; content creation and strategic deployment; and brand strategy and implementation. Together with the Executive Producer of SHP, this position will also examine new revenue sources and other creative opportunities sitting at the intersection of audience experience and technology.

Successful candidates bring a passion for music and a track record of success in retaining, finding and growing audiences across the recorded and live music sectors. Knowledge and awareness of classical and orchestral music is important, as well as comfort with genres ranging from rock and pop to EDM and hip-hop. A strategic core and the discipline to enact it all is the combination we seek. SHP team members thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving work environment, inspired by the music and experiences we present, which challenges norms and breaks barriers. Within this team, experience, competency and execution are the expected foundation; also necessary are the dynamism and flexibility to handle whatever lands on your laptop on a daily basis. The successful candidate will have the discipline and focus to work remotely and independently, and also have the interpersonal skills to be a mature and professional presence at all concerts and projects. Building and maintaining a strong working relationship with Steve Hackman is vital.
