About the Role

The Athletic Operations Assistant and Athletic Trainer at Avenues is a dynamic, dual-role position that blends strategic coordination with hands-on student-athlete care. This role is essential in ensuring that both the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Department and the well-being of student-athletes run smoothly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

Athletic Department Operations:

• Execute day-to-day operations of the Athletics Department, supporting the Director of Athletics in creating efficient systems and smooth workflows.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation, schedules, rosters, and attendance reports across platforms.
• Confirm game-day logistics and communication with opponents and officials.
• When not offsite covering a game, be part of the home game operations team, helping with the score table, crowd control, and overall game environment to ensure a smooth and professional experience for all.
• Monitor the Athletics inbox and respond to students, families, and staff within 48 hours, ensuring clear and proactive communication.
• Manage and maintain athletic office and storage spaces—ensuring supplies are ordered, equipment is in working condition, and spaces are clean, organized, and ready for each season.
• Track and support team attendance across platforms and follow up with coaches when needed.
• Provide weekly reports and help keep coaches accountable for administrative tasks.

Athletic Training:

• Provide coverage for all required on or off-site home game locations
• Deliver comprehensive sports medicine services, including injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for in-season Upper Division student-athletes.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic medical records and follow industry best practices for safety and recovery.
• Provide accessible injury care hours and on-site coverage for contact sports.
• Coordinate with School Nurses, Deans, and the Student Success Team to ensure holistic student care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with athletes, families, and coaches about injury management and return-to-play progress.

If hired for this position, the annual salary range is between $60,000-$85,000. The salary may vary depending on your professional experience and skills.
