Posted Job Title Clinical Research Coordinator A/B Job Profile Title Clinical Research Coordinator A Job Description Summary Clinical Research Coordinator A: This position will support the management of 3-4 clinical research studies (all phases) that involve assessment of investigational devices and products to treat lung cancer and COPD. Under the indirect supervision (minimal supervision) of the Principal Investigator (PI) and direct supervision of the Clinical Research Coordinator C (CRC-C), the Clinical Research Coordinator A (CRC-A) will carry out research activities including recruitment, management of study materials, IRB submissions, device and supply management, and biosample handling (collection, shipping and processing). The CRC-A will work on industry sponsored research across two sites (HUP, PPMC, and PAH), participate in study team meetings and ongoing protocol training/compliance meetings, show vigilance in patient safety, protocol compliance and data quality, and adhere to all University of Pennsylvania, FDA and GCP guidelines. Clinical Research Coordinator B: This position will support the management of 6-8 clinical research studies (all phases) that involve assessment of investigational devices and products to treat lung cancer and COPD, diagnostic tests for lung cancer, and an investigational drug for pleural infection. Under the indirect supervision (minimal supervision) of the Principal Investigator (PI) and the Clinical Research Coordinator C (CRC-C), the Clinical Research Coordinator B (CRC-B) will carry out research activities including recruitment, management of study materials, IRB submissions, device and supply management, biosample handling (collection, shipping and processing), and preliminary data analysis with manuscript writing. The CRC-B will work on industry sponsored research across two sites (HUP, PPMC) that may include working with central IRB regulation and communicating frequently with sponsors, CROs, and coordinating site study teams. The CRC-B will participate in study team meetings and ongoing protocol training/compliance meetings, showing vigilance in patient safety, protocol compliance and data quality and adhering to all University of Pennsylvania, FDA and GCP guidelines. Job Description Clinical Research Coordinator A: This is a primarily onsite, patient-facing role. The CRC-A coordinates the conduct of clinical research studies, including the recruitment and retention of clinical trial participants. This position will be responsible for data entry, organizing, maintaining, and assuring the accuracy of all study documentation. The coordinator will oversee 3-4 clinical research studies ensuring that the integrity of the protocol is maintained. The CRC-A will prepare and submit regulatory documents to the IRB. The CRC-A will be responsible for gathering data per protocol and bringing any adverse events to the attention of the PI or any other part of the research team that the PI delegates the task. Clinical Research Coordinator B: The CRC-B will have demonstrable experience and proficiency in the above-listed duties, and will carry out these duties with limited supervisions. The CRC-B is expected to manage 6 or more clinical research studies, will be well versed in Good Clinical Practice, and will have experience in managing all aspects of a trial including trial start-up, creating consents, IRB submissions, recruitment, enrollment, AE management, investigational drug and device management, data entry, resolution of queries, strategies to maintain compliance and closeout of a trial. This position is contingent upon funding Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $46,500.00 - $52,661.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
