Position Information: The full salary range for the Accounts Payable Lead is $66,500 - $118,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $83,400 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Under the direction of the Accounts Payable/Travel Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for performing high level accounting tasks related to the Accounting Office's Accounts Payable operations such as resolving non-routine issues; analyzing data to report on key metrics; analyze data to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and implement improvements; documenting and maintaining standard operation procedures; reconciling payables accounts and data; and providing leadership to accounts payables staff, and providing exceptional customer service by researching issues. Serves as a lead to staff.

Minimum Requirements Thorough knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems. Strong proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software. Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making; ability to develop original ideas to solve problems. Ability to function effectively as a member of a team. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources. Leadership skills to provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to professional and support staff.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education and fund accounting Knowledge of UC policies and procedures Experience with Oracle Financials Accounts Payable modules Experience with Concur Travel and Expense reporting system Advanced knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
