Senior Vice President of Leasing (L-6956)

JOB SUMMARY:   

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Leasing Professional to manage and execute strategies for a portfolio of retail and commercial properties. This individual will be responsible for negotiating lease agreements, cultivating tenant relationships, and maximizing occupancy and rental income.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proactively market and lease retail and commercial space withing the portfolio.
• Develop and maintain relationships with tenants, brokers, and prospective lessees.
• Cultivate relationships with local, regional tenants and prospects.
• Negotiate lease terms and agreement, including renewals and expansions.
• Analyze market trends, rental rates and competitive properties to establish leasing strategies.
• Collaborate with Property Management to ensure existing conditions of properties as well as lease required Landlord work.
• Collaborate with Property Management on tenant ?t-outs, possession and renewal obligations.
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure the ?nancial strength of perspective lessees.
• Support Finance team with budgeting and forecasting related to lease revenue.
• Prepare leasing reports, Occupancy forecasts, and pipeline updates for management.
• Develop and execute leasing strategies to minimize vacancy rates and maximize revenue.
• Maintain accurate lease documentation and tenant records.
• Identify prospective tenants and maintain a pipeline of quali?ed leads.
• Conduct property tours of local facilities and premises.
• Negotiate lease terms and coordinate with leasing counsel to ?nalize lease documents.
• Recommend pricing strategies and lease incentives based on market data.
• Attend trade shows, networking events and Brokers meetings to promote properties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Degree required.
• A minimum of 20+ years of experience with 10+years in a leadership role of leasing retail and commercial properties.
• Lease negotiations from initial LOI inquiry through lease execution.
• Hands-on dealmaker with the ability to manage deal flow.
• Experience with working, developing and leading a team.
• Strong, effective oral and written communication skills.
• Takes ownership of processes and procedures to ensure timely and productive outcomes.
• Strong leadership qualities and team building expertise.
• Strong understanding of lease terms, CAM charges and commercial lease structures.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze market data and translate into actionable strategies.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Experience with mixed-use, commercial and shopping centers (focus on strip center and neighborhood centers).
• Experience in both big box and small box leasing.
• Expertise in property sales and ground leases.
• Strong network of brokers and tenants reps.
• Goal-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
