Salary Range: $23.26 - $32.79 / hourly; $48,566 - $68,465/ annuallyJob DescriptionIn compliance with the requirements of Administrative Procedures, Minnesota Management and Budget and Minnesota State policies and regulations, state and federal laws, and collective bargaining agreement and personnel plan provisions, incumbent provides professional Human Resources (HR) services at Minnesota State University, Mankato by administering a variety of HR. This position provides support to supervisors and employees in the areas of HR transaction entry, time and leave reporting, compensation, etc. This position is confidential as defined by M.S. 13.37 as it maintains confidential files containing collective bargaining proposals and counter proposals, strategies, costing information, has access to and utilizes information pertaining to labor relations, and provides assistance and information for use in the development of a strike plan, if necessary.Minimum Qualifications2 years of human resources experience processing HR transactions, payroll, benefits, or similar work such as staffing/recruiting, generalist, coordinator experience; or 2 years of finance or accounting experience.Demonstrated attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.Proven ability to apply and advise on policies and procedures, state and federal laws, and collective bargaining agreements and personnel plan provisions to ensure they are followed accurately and consistently as related to job functions.Strong customer service skills to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to customers whether via in-person, phone, email, or other written correspondence.Excellent knowledge and use of spelling and grammar utilized in drafting and proof reading materials to provide accurate correspondence, reports, and informational documents.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products and strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to work within multiple databases and ensure data integrity. Ability to run reports and queries and analyze the resultsMath skills sufficient to calculate and/or verify pay, payroll related transactions, and other related activities.Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment to maintain confidential information, research topics and compile and audit data, and identify and correct errors.Preferred QualificationDegree in human resources, accounting, or related field.Experience working with the university?s, Minnesota State?s, and Minnesota Management and Budget?s policies and procedures and software systems, including Workday, FWM, SCUPPS, and SEMA4 sufficient to process transactions and answer routine questions in the Minnesota State system.Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environmentOtherWork safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.The Minnesota State University, Mankato Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available for your review.
