Description: This is a non-tenure-track and year-to-year appointment. The research associate has a demonstrated track record in tissue engineering, molecular dynamics, machine learning or related disciplines. The research is annually subjected to satisfactory performance, availability of resources and the need. The research associate aids the PI in completing research and molecular modeling activities in bioengineering, tissue engineering. The research associate functions with substantial independence to support research activities in the areas of 3D printing, etc. in the College of Engineering at the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Primary Function of Organizational Unit: North Carolina A&T State University is a public, doctoral high research land-grant University that enrolls over 14,000 students. The University is a learner-centered community that develops and preserves intellectual capital through interdisciplinary learning, discovery, engagement, and operational excellence. The College of Engineering, with over 2,500 students, has EAC ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Architectural, Bio-, Biological, Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as a CAC ABET-accredited program in Computer Science. On the Graduate level, the College has 8 Masters of Science Degree programs, and 5 Doctoral programs distributed across its seven departments. Additional information about the College can be found at www.ncat.edu/coe. Requirements: 1. A Ph.D. degree awarded in industrial and systems engineering or related disciplines. 2. Five years of research experience with a strong theoretical and experimental background with evidence of skills on tissue engineering, molecular dynamics simulation and machine learning. 3. The candidate is expected to have proven record of writing scientific papers and technical reports. Preferred: 1. Experience working on a biological lab. 2. Exceptional publication record. 3. Experience with bioink synthesis and characterization. 4. Experience with Molecular Dynamic Simulation and Machine Learning.
